W+CO has completed 30 projects for the University of Pennsylvania, as well as projects for Temple University, Drexel University, University of the Sciences, and Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi. These projects encompass a wide variety of facility types, as well as an expertise gained through the design of 20 Science Lab and Learning Environment projects with their specialized requirements for casework, ventilation systems and built-in equipment.

W+CO has completed dozens of projects for hospitals, psychiatric health facilities, hospices, crisis centers, group homes, and other facilities offering community health services. W+CO’s expertise includes designing interior spaces that are functional, efficient and aesthetically appropriate to accommodate people with special needs, as well as patients, families and healthcare professionals.

W+CO’s expertise includes the restoration and renovation of historically significant academic and student life facilities at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as historic rowing clubs on Philadelphia’s famed Boathouse Row. W+CO’s knowledge of traditional architectural forms is combined with insightful sensitivity to each building’s historic integrity and aesthetics, as the facilities are upgraded to be code compliant, functional and supportive of contemporary uses.

W+CO has completed dozens of consensus-driven projects for government entities, nonprofit associations and religious institutions, collaborating with boards, committees, and often working within tight budget restraints. W+CO views budget limitations and other constraints as opportunities to design truly creative, cost-effective projects that fulfill the client’s needs and goals without wasting valuable funds on cost overruns and schedule delays.

W+CO has worked extensively abroad in Ireland, Italy, United Arab Emirates and Ukraine to successfully design a variety of mixed-use, residential, recreational and educational facilities that enhance their unique, local communities and campuses. While earning a master’s degree from the Scuola di Architettura, Tony Weber’s two-year experience in Florence offered a wealth of opportunities for travel, research, teaching and professional practice in Europe, including collaborating with Florentine architect Marco Mattei and yacht designer Tommaso Spadolini.

Leading architectural efforts for LA Fitness’ East Coast Expansion for 12 years, Tony Weber managed the design of 47 facilities representing over 2 million square feet and $150 million in construction costs. W+CO’s recreational experience extends to indoor and outdoor facilities for universities, communities and private clubs, with a unique specialization in boathouse rowing clubs.
